Ep8 – Tweetie Bird
A lawyer, a filmmaker, a host and a comedian serve up a cocktail that will unleash your inner Chatty Cathy/Charlie. This episode they discuss whether Russell Wilson and Ciara abstaining from sex is outdated or orgasmic; what we can learn from Cosby’s own words; whether Florida State’s dismissal of QB based on a video is precedential or premature; and has Black Twitter reached it’s Tipping Point . If you consider yourself a conversational mixologist, then hit play, until the bartender cuts you off.

I personally commend Ciara and Russell for their choice of abstinence. I believe that it is not only wise but refreshing to see two people make such an informed and mature decision. I believe that waiting will only build intimacy and reduce regrets! Thumbs up Ciara and Russell!!! 🙂

The issue with Bill Cosby is plaguing to me for sooooo many reasons. I have always loved and admired Bill Cosby for what he has embodied and for his accomplishments and contributions for the sake of “blackness”. My truth is this…I in no way condone rape! However, I am on the suspicious end because….
1) Why wait all these years?
2) If there were women who endured this abuse from him on more than one occasion, why did you allow yourself to be alone with him again?
If Bill Cosby is in fact guilty then yes, he deserves to face “JUST” sentencing. The issue is that I do not think people realize what exactly is going on here. The Cosby Show is arguably one of the most powerful, encouraging and prideful black shows that we had. I truly feel that taking the show off of the air is more of a PUNISHMENT and a slap in the face to ALL BLACK PEOPLE. Who Bill Cosby portrayed on the show is not who he allegedly is in his everyday life and therefore I personally do not understand why the show would be impacted. Furthermore, when 7th. Heaven’s Stephen Collins admitted to CHILD MOLESTATION I believe that 7th. Heaven was still on the air.
There are multiple missteps here. I believe that multiple conversations need to be had. Also, this is yet another scenario that further proves that not only is punishment taken to the extremes when we are…
1)Accused
2)Indicted
3)Charged
…but we as a whole suffer the consequences!
My heart goes out to anyone who was hurt or abused. However, we have to start realizing that the sooner we speak up on our pains and oppressions, the sooner we may be saving the next potential victim! #SPEAKYOURTRUTH
