The only difference between marriages now and marriages back in the day is that people get divorced now. People are quick to get divorced for any thing now. Back in the day, daddy had a family across town, mama had a baby daddy doubted was his, old people end up fussing at each other all the time, they just didn’t give up. People spend a bunch of time “falling out of love now”.

  I think you make a valid point. But to piggyback on your last statement, I do think that people are quick to “fall out of love”. But I also think that people rush into situations and relationships so fast that many times, there was never any “real” love to begin with….which makes it that much easier to walk away. Furthermore, back in the day, the romance factor was a mighty must! Nowadays, us women let men get away with doing bare minimums. Many men do not court anymore, and do not feel that they have to. Further, many men expect women to be unrealistic fantasy beings!
