Ep11 – Screaming Eagle
A lawyer, a host and a comedian call a different play this week and make a drink that’s two parts politics, one part justice and one part football. This episode they discuss the significance of US President Barack Obama’s visit to Kenya; whether Ray Tensing’s murder indictment of a Samuel DuBose, a black unarmed motorist, is an outlier or the tipping point; whether the death of Cecil the Lion is a valid story or a distraction; and the NFL hires their first female coach? If you consider yourself a conversational mixologist, then hit play, until the bartender cuts you off.

I do not feel that it is an issue to have respect for animals. Actually, what doesn’t really make sense is that the killing of any animal is morally acceptable (endangered, threatened, or otherwise). And if we really analyze it, how our laws dictate what animals are fair game for kill is directly reflective of the level of disdain and disregard shown when it comes to the “endangered” or “threatened” lives of black people.
