The Network Studios (TNS) is a boutique Podcast network, specializing in the development, production and distribution of episodic Podcast content. What makes us a unique Podcast network is that we select our talent through a robust interview process, where we discover the talent’s overall show ideas as well as their drive and interest in getting into the business of Podcasting. Our selective process is what makes our network very special, because we only invite individuals who are interested in developing their Podcast work into a viable business venture.

What does TNS offer?

We work with individuals who have an interest in producing Podcasts at a professional level. We partner with our Podcasters to produce the shows, but we do not own the individual Podcast show or any of the show contents. We simply assist Podcasters for a fee, by providing our specialized services in advising Podcasters regarding content (based on our analytics review and feedback) and producing, distributing and marketing your Podcast episodes.

We have created a unique payment structure and revenue share opportunity that makes it affordable for the individual Podcaster to turn their Podcast ideas into a viable business venture.

We set benchmarks for each Podcast, and manage the follow-through from performance through distribution, which helps us to gain insight into the overall performance and acceptance of the individual Podcast shows based on metric data.

We participate with our Podcasters in making our work together cost efficient, and cost conscious.

What does a Podcaster signed with TNS have to pay?

TNS has a minimum fee and a fee range for each Podcast session, set at a discounted rate for those within the network. This fee is only available to accepted TNS Podcasters as a partial payment. Our Podcasters need to comply with this commitment as well as our procedures and policies as the requirement for each episode. This requirement helps us to focus with our talent on scheduling and time management.

Due to the nature of Podcasting, it is impossible to foresee the success or failure of an actual Podcast show. Our experience has shown us that not all Podcasters will effectively produce an adequate revenue stream to pay for the needed TNS services, which are required to produce, distribute and promote every Podcast episode.

Are there any other outside expenses to be aware of?

There are other costs that the Podcaster must assume, which include hosting their Podcast content, securing and maintaining website domains, and hosting of website content.

Currently, we recommend a company called “Liberated Syndication” or “Libsyn”, for hosting Podcast-related content. Libsyn is currently recognized as the most respected company for hosting Podcast content and has trusted metric data or web statistics pertaining to your episode downloads. Having credible metric data is the catalyst to gaining the confidence of potential sponsorship opportunities.

Now, there are several new companies entering into the Podcasting arena. Although many of them appear to offer similar solutions, for the most part, they have less robust metric data applications as compared to Libsyn.

We also recommend “GoDaddy” for all domain and hosting responsibilities. They tend to have better products and services than companies offering less expensive solutions. That being said, the most important thing is have access to a server in order to setup “WordPress” as well as other plugins. It’s also important to have a large amount of disk space as these sites will grow over time.

We offer to all our Podcasters signed with TNS a $500 website template, that we setup and configure with your unique branding and color scheme. This template comes bundled with all the necessary plugins and applications to do the best job promoting and playing your Podcast content. We also maintain this website for you while you are signed with our network.

Please Note: It is not required to have a domain or hosting account. You do not need a website unless you desire one. We feature your podcast on the TNS website and you can direct listeners to your page. Having a website just makes it easier to find your show. We do recommend that popular podcasts do get their own websites. Having your own website will help with offering unique content and other goodies specific to your Podcast brand.

How does TNS work with the talent to create a show?

We work closely with the talent to produce an executable game plan for their Podcast show, which includes consulting and development services. We discover, through conversation, all of the special components for their show as well as their desired show format, runtime and release day and/or days.

We help discover all of the show segments, transitions, intros, outros and any other audio drops that are to be included in the show. We also offer the recording time to create all other show assets. We then apply them to our touchscreen in-studio soundboard for ease of use.

As an added service, we work with the talent to outline their first (3) episodes. Our Podcasters are expected to do their own show preparation for all future episodes. We oversee and execute the recording session, post-production and distribution of each individual episode for the duration of the time that the Podcast show is on our network, per our agreement.

What are the other benefits of working with TNS?

We offer a suite of services that are unique to Podcasting for both TNS signed talent as well as other individuals interested in Podcasting, but who are NOT TNS-affiliated.

We do accept payment for our services at fair market value for any non-affiliated Podcasts. You can review our services by visiting our complete “List of Services” page.

All of our services are offered at a discounted rate to our Podcasters who are signed with TNS and have agreed to a revenue-sharing arrangement with TNS. The TNS-affiliated Podcast fee and revenue-sharing terms are configured for each Podcaster, based on input from the Podcaster.

What are the requirements for TNS Podcasters?

We require signed TNS Podcasters to understand and respect our policies and procedures to assure the productivity and focus necessary to create revenue generating opportunities.

The TNS List of Policy and Procedures is available upon request to prospective Podcasters.

What else do I need to know?

We are constantly working on understanding and anticipating trends. We make adjustments and additions to our policies and procedures as needed. We have built a website for our Podcasters that makes it easy to gain the information you need, such as scheduling, stats and other important information specifically relating to your Podcast. This information is secure and accessible with a unique username and password.

Our goal is to be successful as a network, and we are passionate about achieving success for all of our Podcasters.
