Today, one of the biggest people in the stand-up comedy business passed on, Mr. Budd Friedman. When I moved to Los Angeles in 2001, my first stop was to make myself known to the comedy community by frequenting the World Famous Hollywood Improv. I remember Budd and sometimes even his wife would make their rounds at the club. Whether you were a recognized name or an aspiring standup, they treated you with such grace and consideration, making you always feel like you were part of a comedy family. Budd was a very nice man and one of the last of his kind. We need more Budds in the world of standup comedy. He will be missed. #standup #comedy #improv #hollywoodimprov
